How to create a C2Z Patch

What is a C2Z Patch?

A C2Z patch is a patch that is used with RomPatcher+ which maps the phones Z:/ Drive to the C:/ Drive. This is done in order to modify files on the Z:/ Drive, as the Z:/ drive is Read only memory and therefore cannot be changed.

What is it used for?

It can be used to install cooked home screens, kastor effects & camera drivers, as well as any other Z:/ drive modifications.

How To:

1. Hack your phone with HelloOX2
2. Open RomPatcher+ and enable the “Open4All_RP+” patch
3. Download and install “C2Z_Maker_v1_0_EN.SISX”
4. Head to your Applications folder and open C2ZMaker
5. Click on “Options” then “Generate”
6. You will get a message saying “Succeed save to E:/c2z.rmp”
7. Connect your phone to a computer or use a file manager and move c2z.rmp from E:/c2z.rmp to E:/Patches/c2z.rmp
8. Open RomPatcher+, highlight “c2z” click “Options” and then “add to auto”, Open4All_RP+ can be disabled but it doesn’t matter.
9. Copy the modification you will like to use to the C:/ drive.

i.e.: if you would like to replace a file located in Z:/data/ then copy it into C:/data/

Note: when you update your firmware you must generate a new c2z patch.

  3. I installed HelloOX2 which in turn, installed Rom patcher but I'm running into some issues in generating in C2Z maker. I'm not entirely clear on what I should do with Rom patcher. It doesn't really give me that much options to do anything either. It just says patch and when I click apply, nothing seems to happen. When I try to click generate in C2Z maker on my Satio, it just says failed. Is there a step I'm missing? Could you help me out? I'm trying to install the BAM v4 app on my Satio and so far, I managed to successfully downgrade my phone and install HelloOX2. Now I'm at this point and I can't seem to make any progress.

  4. get a file manager, look if u´re able to access c:\sys\bin! if not, your fone isnt hacked.
if yes: rompatcher only got 2 patches in its installed version. you´ve to enabled them, then take em over options to autostart. you can check this over the green circles (arrows inside). if u get a red cross, something sucks. when added to autostart, the circle gets a yellow outline.

then just follow rafaats c2z howto...
